On 10 March 2026, Jungheinrich Malaysia celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of the Jungheinrich Technician Apprenticeship Programme (JTAP)—an initiative launched on 15 April 2025, marking its first-ever batch of graduates.
The Jungheinrich Technician Apprenticeship Programme (JTAP) is a 12‑month development journey designed to train, mentor, and empower fresh talents to become certified Jungheinrich Service Technicians.
JTAP was first introduced to bridge the skills gap in the material handling industry by providing structured, real-world technical training for these young talents.
Throughout the year, apprentices underwent a comprehensive development pathway that included:
What began as a group of fresh graduates quickly evolved into a confident team capable of diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and handling customer sites independently.
Ahead of their graduation ceremony, the apprentices took on their last challenge: “The Final Showdown”.
Each apprentice was assigned a used truck and tasked to fully refurbish it into near-new condition, covering:
This test showcased their technical competency, ownership, and professionalism, showing just how far they had come since joining the programme.
As the ceremony drew to a close, Jungheinrich Malaysia proudly acknowledged the hard work and discipline shown by this batch of apprentices.
