JTAP Class of 2026: Jungheinrich Malaysia’s First Graduates

On 10 March 2026, Jungheinrich Malaysia celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of the Jungheinrich Technician Apprenticeship Programme (JTAP)—an initiative launched on 15 April 2025, marking its first-ever batch of graduates.

About JTAP

The Jungheinrich Technician Apprenticeship Programme (JTAP) is a 12‑month development journey designed to train, mentor, and empower fresh talents to become certified Jungheinrich Service Technicians.

JTAP was first introduced to bridge the skills gap in the material handling industry by providing structured, real-world technical training for these young talents.

Throughout the year, apprentices underwent a comprehensive development pathway that included:

  • One‑week of orientation
  • Classroom and hands-on training at Jungheinrich Malaysia
  • Real site deployment, shadowing senior technicians
  • Progressive skill-building, from basic servicing to troubleshooting and repairs

What began as a group of fresh graduates quickly evolved into a confident team capable of diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and handling customer sites independently.

The Final Showdown

Ahead of their graduation ceremony, the apprentices took on their last challenge: “The Final Showdown”.

Each apprentice was assigned a used truck and tasked to fully refurbish it into near-new condition, covering:

  • Mechanical and electrical inspection
  • Replacement of worn components
  • Truck deep cleaning, repainting & servicing
  • System calibration
  • Safety and performance checks
  • Final presentation of their refurbished truck

This test showcased their technical competency, ownership, and professionalism, showing just how far they had come since joining the programme.

A heartfelt congratulations goes to our four graduates: Ahmad Hafiz, Akmal, Muhammad Faiz, Muhammad Zulfahmi and we look forward to seeing them thrive in their new roles as part of our technical workforce.
